Ingredients

  • 4 slices thick cooked bacon chopped
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1/3 cup blue cheese softened
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 lbs. ground chuck divided into 12 patties
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato

Instructions

  1. Add bacon, butter, blue cheese, salt, and pepper to a medium sized bowl and mix until incorporated. Add butter to a piece of plastic wrap and form into the shape of a log. Freeze for one hour.
  2. Season the 12 patties with salt and pepper. Remove butter from freezer and slice into 6 even pieces.
  3. Take two hamburger patties, and place one slice of blue cheese butter in the center of the hamburger and top with the other hamburger patty. Seal the edges of the hamburger with your fingers so that the butter doesn’t run out while cooking. Cook until the desired doneness.
  4. Top burger with lettuce, tomato, and condiments of choice.
  5. Enjoy!
