  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 strips bacon cooked
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 egg + 1tbsp water beaten


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, salt, onion powder, and mix well in bowl. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture.
  3. Add milk, butter, bacon, cheddar, and thyme to the well, and mix until incorporated (If mixture seems to dry, add a little bit more milk, one tablespoon at a time until the mixture comes together).
  4. Take egg and water and beat together until incorporated.
  5. Scoop biscuit with an ice cream scoop or ½ cup size. Brush biscuit with egg wash. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
